Looking between the lines
This is one very cute and well written mystery centering on a topic that is so over looked. The author has a unique way of setting up the plot and quickly engaging the reader to solve the mystery surrounding the missing character. We need more adventurous stories such as this where our young student body is able to quickly see between the lines that society so often tries to not see. I find this book to be so well written and extremely enjoyable. Great read for all ages.

Don’t miss out!
Go on an adventure with four brave farm children in a time and place before the technology era, back when farming, hard work, respect and responsibility were the staples of society. This gentle and inspiring story takes you back to the warm and eternal love and compassion of children’s spirit. If you enjoyed Old Yeller and/or The Boxcar Children you will absolutely love Howling Wolf at Flatbread Creek. Allow yourself to join this brave young team of sibling in showing love for nature in all aspects of wildlife, inclusively protecting predators the same way we do prey. Sometimes humans mistake this natural part of the wild for solely dangerous and harmful and once humans stigmatize something, we almost always take it too far. This story has it all; it’s funny and sweet, inviting and exciting while also including the edge of your seat thrills that keeps you reading more and overall it is emotionally moving. You will find yourself taken back to adventure and wonderment. There is a pure theme of protection and rescue through the eyes of children as they deem an unfairly hunted living creature the right to life and being loved. That is something that we as adults tend to slowly let go and step away from. Read Howling Wolf at Flatbread Creek and be reminded of the kindness and purity of a child’s heart as you champion on four young heroes on their journey to rescue a natural predator that is now nearly extinct at the hands of man.
